Our top priority is sourcing and importing the best green coffee. We understand that quality requires more than just premium beans and solid logistics. That’s why we are committed to supporting and sustaining the humans behind the beans by working with origin partners who pay higher than average wages and who treat workers fairly.
We warehouse at The Annex, Greenroom, KS and Baltimore MD. This allows short transit times, lower shipping fees, and fresher beans. We work with transport companies who specialize in handling green coffee, preserving quality from our warehouse all the way to your roastery.

Samuel Demisse founded Keffa Coffee in 2006. Samuel was born and raised in Agaro, Ethiopia, and grew up immersed in coffee. His father was a coffee professional and taught Samuel about the industry from a young age.
Samuel has competed in coffee at the national and international levels. He placed 3rd at the 2015 United States Cup Tasters Championship and 4th in 2014. He placed 2nd in both the 2013 and 2011 United States Cup Tasters Championships. Samuel is a Licensed Q-Grader and an Assistant Q-Instructor.
We are deeply invested in and committed to the growth of the specialty coffee community. Keffa is a member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America, Roasters Guild, and the Barista Guild of America.
