Varietal
74110
A coffee variety developed by Ethiopia's Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC). Selected from wild forest coffee for disease resistance without sacrificing cup quality.
Definition
What 74110 is
74110 is one of several coffee varieties developed by the Jimma Agricultural Research Center (JARC), Ethiopia's primary coffee research institution. The name refers to the accession number in JARC's collection--a scientific identifier rather than a marketing name.
JARC selected 74110 from wild coffee populations for its combination of Coffee Berry Disease (CBD) resistance and good cup quality. Unlike hybrids developed elsewhere, these are selections from Ethiopia's native genetic diversity, not crosses with Robusta.

Sustainability story
Disease-resistant varieties help farmers maintain yields without chemicals. Good for farm economics, good for marketing to conscious consumers.
Ethiopian character
